Time flies! It feels like it ended too soon. Just a few months back, I was analyzing if I will be able to commit to a three-month long fellowship or not. And it is time to say goodbye already.

Not sure if I’m ready to say farewell, but what once started has to come to an end. Towards the conclusion of this fellowship, the last few segments made us relive the moments of our childhood and made me wonder what is stopping us from being that carefree version of ourselves now? And why are we worried about the consequences? Is it because we are not ready to be accountable for it? Or is it because we are afraid of actually making it ahead? Whatever it is, Amal helped us look beyond success and failure. It made us look at the impact of those experiences in our lives.

Looking back at how this program got me back to my feet and gave me reasons to look forward to life — especially every weekend when we would have the online sessions — it also taught me how to become a lifelong learner. It showed me how to avail opportunities and make them stand in my favor. It taught me how to believe that everything that I dream of is achievable. It made me realize that the boundaries only exist within my imagination and that the world out there works on a basic formula that needs to be seen through their lens.

I mean, if it is meant for you it is meant for you, but the charm of getting to it after going through the hardships is what’s going to make you a lifelong learner.

As it all ends, apart from all the learnings that Amal has given me, there are also the people. It is always refreshing to just talk and connect to them. Especially to this family who is always there to lift your mood. These people are a part of me now that I never want to lose. I am looking forward to many more informal sessions to keep up with the amazing humans that I got a chance to connect with. I intend to keep this magical journey alive and never let its charm fade away.
